'Text speech' really aggravates me. It takes me forever to figure out what it means and I find that a lot of kids forget that they are not on msn or texting a message and actually do include things like 'h8' and 'da', and all those kinds of abbreviations, in their essays at school. When I send someone a text message I spell the whole words. When I am on msn, I write proper sentences and spell the whole words. It is really not that hard and at least I don't have to worry that people won't know what I'm talking about.
We have two computers. I have one, my daughter has the other. Sometimes when we are both using msn, if she wants me to do something for her, but is too lazy to get up and actually come and ask me, she will send me a message via msn. One message she sent me once, I ended up with replying, "I have no idea what you are saying, you make no sense at all. If you want me, come here." She laughs and tells me I'm so uncool. I have no idea why actually knowing how to write a sentence properly is uncool, but apparently it is.
As for the Bible being made into text messages, well I wouldn't read them because, as I already said, I have a lot of trouble deciphering them. But from what I understood from the article it was more about just trying to make the Bible more widely accessible. I have no objections to this.
Jem those words you mentioned, 'dunno', etc., I tend to use a lot on forums because I am writing as I speak and those words are slang words I use a lot.
