Books with forbidden or tempting aspects in them

Hey guys

I'm a pastry chef and I'm planning on opening a pastry shop in my town.

Right now I'm in the planning stage and currently of thinking of logo with the name I got registered recently which is going to be called "Forbidden Desserts". I thought of the name from the Adam and eve with the forbidden apple story.

I have tried the obvious logo designs that represent forbidden but it either doesn't work well or another business have a similar design.

So I just remember that Starbucks got their name and logo from the moby dick book. Starbucks was named from a coffee drinker name Starbucks and the logo is a siren which also from the moby dick story as well.

So I thought maybe I can get some inspiration from a book that something relates to forbidden or temptation aspect to it. For example in the adam and eve story, they were told by god to not eat the apple or they will die. But eve was curious to know what it taste like since it forbidden and was making them want to desire it more since god told not to... But they ate it anyway

Do you guys know any books have something relates to forbidden or temptation.... Maybe a forbidden item from a book or something of the sort

Thanks :)

Good luck on your venture. Examples of temptation in literature may be rather obscure for your logo.

Since you got the idea from the Bible you should probably stick to that source. Perhaps a stylized serpent wrapped around a cupcake or tiered cake or just the business name inside the same?

thank for the lucks occlith :)

I'm not a fan of using a dessert for an logo design because if I do the snake wrapped around a cup/cake. Then people who drive by my shop will think it a cup/cake shop which is not since I sell other types of dessert.

using the serpent in the forbidden name is not a bad idea, just got to find a clever way of using the serpent in the name.

I want to create a good design, so I can use it on t-shirts, aprons and other merchandises that both males and females can enjoy it in public casually.

Other aspects from the adam & eve story for ideas are: adam, eve, apple, tree, serpent and god
