Buccaneers and Shadow People: desperate to find 2 fiction series

Please Help!

I am desperately trying to find two book series from when I was a nipper in the late 80's:

The first had a young boy who gets involved in all kinds of dangerous ghostly goings on. He is pursued by the Shadow People/ Shadowers.

The second is about a boy called Nicholas who jumps into a painting of a ship and finds himself on a pirate ship and becomes a Buccaneer.
Other characters: Solomon, Ramir, Captain James, Jeremy, Johnny...

If you find any info on the second series could you please let me know - I've been looking for this series for a while now (also read it in the late 80's ), but you seem to remember more than I could

Sorry I can't help I have asked this question before on here (well my partner did for me) but we didn't get any response - he was then convinced I was making it up!

I remember reading (and loving) the Series about Nicholas and the Buccaneers. I've searched for years trying to find out what it was. And today it popped into my mind again.

I did a Google search and came across your first post!! I registered here just to find out what it was (as you say you found it in your first post - but not what it was called!!)

Such as Magic in the north, burglars in the yard , Tim and the hidden people have been re-published and can be ordered direct from the publishers.
I think they might try to do the ramir series as well (the new buccaneers)

Finally people who aren't going to think I am completely bonkers. My friend and I were discussing some books we had read in school but couldn't remember what they were called. We could only remember certain characters in the book. Everyone I asked thought I'd imagined these. I have been searching the internet for ages about a series called The Buccaneers and for what I now know are books called Tim and Tobias.

The Tim and Tobias books are also available to order from Amazon but I don't know how long they take to be delivered. Buccaneer books are also listed but only as used.

I used to read the Tim and Tobias books when I was a kid! I really loved those books a lot. They were full of magic and also a little scary! Great, thanks for the info!

It's one of the last set of 8.

It's called 'Attack By night!'


I think I have all of the 16, If that is all of them.
