C.G. Jung

Jung is a fascinating theorist. I would love to read more of his work, as I've only looked at his writings from a psych major perspective, particularly as it applies to personality and counselling.

I'm attracted to his idea of the collective and personal unconscious as opposed to what is seen as the dominant view of the unconscious (the psychodynamic perspective). The MBTI is also based on his ideas of introversion and extraversion, and is a fascinating and I find, quite accurate tool to use.

With psych majors here we'll have to be careful :D

Well, I just like to read. And I found The Undiscovered Self pretty impenetrable and boring for a layman. Man and his Symbols, on the other hand (clearly written for the layman) was a landmark book in my life. Recently I got a kick from reading Philip Roth's view on Freud (rational thinking) and Jung (non-causal thinking) in Operation Shylock. From this novel I also fell in love with an expression Roth attributes to Jung, which is "the uncontrollability of real things", and from Jung himself I added synchronicity to my daily vocabulary and find great pleasure in discovering little synchronicities happening in my life all the time.

I like Jung very much, although I haven't read a lot of his books.
I have occupied with parapsychology and in this context his theory of synchronicity is very interesting.

Greetings
