A Newbie here...

A few years back while waiting in London Heathrow Airport I was browsing through some books. One I came across, which I can only vaguely remember now, was the story of 2 men who found themselves in jail. Together, to pass the days, they would imagine travelling. For years, from within their cells, they would imagine travelling around the world and I believe one place in particular was Chile. When they were finally released they deceided to visit Chile, the place they had imagined about for so long. It was a most interestesting story, and I think perhaps even maybe a true story.

I cannot remember the author or title! I still regret not buying the book, any help would be greatly appreciated! I hope someone here knows it...

Thank you so much for your help!

Shawshank Redemption

Maybe? They spent lots of time planning their lives after getting out but these guys actually escaped. Then they headed to a tropical island. It's by Stephen King. Just a guess.

No it was defintely not Shawshank...

The book focused mostly on their imagined trips. And they go to Chile at the end Im almost certain.

I really need to find the name of this book, its a present (surprise) for someone else...

What do you remember about the cover? Was it a male or female author? Are there any words from the title that you can remember? Did the author seem familiar to you at the time?

I recently located a book that I read as a kid, and all I could remember was that it was a collection of stories about American Indian kids, each from a different tribe, and that it had a brown librarybound cover..and it was in my school library in the early 70's..Don't give up!

Actually it is for a friend. She was the one who came across it and speaks of it all the time - how she regrets not buying it then. The book is (I assume) fairly recent, she only came across it a couple years ago off the mainshelves of a small, airport bookstore. Unfortunately I don't know more right now, I'll ask her for more info though...

Thanks guys!
