Sorry for my delayed response...

I have no idea what you just said.

I mean, I recognize most of the words, I just don't think I have ever seen them in that order, before.

that always happens. there was actually a show on mtv that i liked a few years back that never made it to 2nd season. yeh, mtv never had much luck with sitcoms/some sort of fictional series.

Sports Night :( :( :(

from Amazon.com

Before there was Aaron Sorkin's West Wing, there was Aaron Sorkin's Sports Night, which followed the trials and tribulations of a smart, energetic television staff as they scrambled to put on a nightly cable sports show, not unlike ESPN's SportsCenter. Sports Night was every bit as good as its political successor--and in some ways, even better--even though it didn't have the gravitas of, say, running the country on a daily basis. You don't need to know anything about sports to appreciate the dynamics of the Sports Night news room (which bears more than a passing similarity to His Girl Friday), and the issues the cast grappled with every week ran from the serious to the frothy, always peppered with snappy Sorkin dialogue. And sadly, as befalls most quality television (TV Guide dubbed it "The Best Show You're Not Watching"), Sports Night was canceled after two seasons.

The Fugitive

The Fugitive (2000) premiered on CBS on October 6, 2000 with Tim Daly as Dr Richard Kimble.
There was about a dozen hour long shows and then CBS pulled it off the air for some reason, with out giving us an ending. Although I`m sure the ending would have been much the same as the 60s version).
There was talk of a CBS TV film being make to show the ending and complete the story but I don`t know if this was ever make.

I found the complete series of American Gothic on DVD at Suncoast. *drooling* I was so excited when I saw it on the shelf. Now I don't need to lament about how it was cancelled so long ago... ^^;;

"American Gothic" was one of my favorites! I'll have to look for the DVD.

There are a couple of quirky shows I miss: "Maximum Bob" and "Harts of the West".

Oh, I remember that Hart of the West show!

Yes, American Gothic is one of the best shows! ;) There are even 4 episodes in the set that were never aired on television. I'm going to try and get one of my friends interested in it. I'll make him an offer he can't refuse!

The only two that got yanked while I was watching were Angel and Tracker. I'm still ticked at the WB and refuse to watch save a few exceptions when Angel/Buffy alums have been on other shows.

Others I only found after they ended. Buffy, Forever Knight, Highlander, Due South, Golden Girls.

I'm glad to still get a weekly David Boreanaz fix on Bones but if it gets yanked, I'm going to be ticked at Fox too.

Snoops.
Greg the Bunny.

What happened in Pretender after the explosion in the train tunnel? We never got anything in NZ after that episode. Or was that the end. Not very satisfactory if it was.

When I heard that the Dermot Morgan ( Father Ted ) had died after two series and that no more father ted would be made, i fell to my knees and cried

I loved the show Dead Like Me, also loved Joan of Arcadia and that got axed as well. I also enjoyed a show with Alicia Silverstone called Miss Match and that completely disappeared. I also really miss Judging Amy!

judging amy is cancelled? my mother will be heartbroken :(

I miss

futurama
firefly
the practise

Northern Exposure was one I loved as well, was a good series.
I'm wondering has "Scrubs" been cancelled...I saw on play.com that they have up as far as Season 3 and then nothing else, just wondering now cos that's a great series :)

I'm particularly sad that "Judging Amy" was cancelled, because I really enjoyed that show-a clean, realistic family drama. I watch it in reruns on cable. But I think that the show might have gone as far as it could. I didn't relish the show becoming "Judging Amy Goes to Washington". I hope they do a reunion movie though, it'd be nice to see how everyone turned out.

show cancellations that have left me emotionally bereft:

not yet mentioned:
ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT
Twin Peaks

already mentioned:
Northern Exposure
Dead Like Me
Wonderfalls
Futurama

also:
some stupid show that i saw as a kid called Dolphin Cove. made me want to be a marine biologist.

it's nice to know that there are so many NX fans around here. :D

nope. scrubs is still going stong. :)

Invasion and Surface

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but does anyone know whether Invasion and Surface will return next year?

Hmm, there were two Pretender TV-movies that aired on TNT a few years back. This was when the network still played reruns of the series... I'm not sure if they're on video/DVD.
