"Who Censored Roger Rabbit?"-Anyone read it? *possible future posts with spoilers*

I absolutely LOVE the movie "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?", so when I learned it was based off of a book (and then read up on said book) I knew I had to get my hands on it.

I ordered a used copy a couple of nights ago, and am expecting it to arrive within the next couple of weeks.

I was just curious to know if others hear have read it?

No. To be honest I didn't know the film was based on a book. Apparently the author wrote a sequel ten years after the release of the first one.

That second book would be "Who P-P-Plugged Roger Rabbit".

It's not really a sequel though, it's story that's a bit of a mixture of the book and movie from what I understand...but doesn't act as a sequel to either of them (although, the cover for it uses the movie's designs).

I ordered that too, plan on reading them back to back.

I never knew about the books until last year, when someone mentioned them on a thread for Roger Rabbit I had been skimming through at IMDB.com.

I read the book years before the movie. It's an entirely different plot. I got a huge kick out of it, but seeing it after the movie might have been different.

I also read and liked Forrest Gump before seeing the film. Again, very little plot resemblance (obviously all the cool photography tricks weren't in it.)

Funny, I saw the title here and thought, what does that have to do with crime and mystery, then remembered, Oh, yeah, that's what it is. Just with tunes.

The sequel is to the movie. There are some obvious reasons it couldn't be a sequel to the book.

"Who P-P-P-Plugged Roger Rabbit" came in the mail today, and I'm hoping "Who Censored Roger Rabbit" will arrive shortly.

I know that the summary for the book lables it as a sequel to the film, but I had read reviews that stated that it wasn't really a sequel but more like a spin-off of sorts....and when I read the first chapter that became apparent. While Roger's physical appearance is described to be the same as it was in the movie, his overall attitude/tone is very different from how he is in the movie (at least to me).

I'm going to hold off reading more until I get the first book in the mail, then I can read them back to back!
