I've started reading this novel just today, and right now i'm on chapter 10 (pg. 131), so its fair to say that i'm hooked. i can't say this novel is anywhere near being a modern classic or anything like that, but all in all it's a pretty good book to read if you want something light and entertaining. (sort of like the *light summer books* discussed eariler in another thread) its by christine sparks and is actually based on an actual man, john merrick of england, who suffered a rare disorder of neurofibromatosis (don't ask, i have no idea what it is either
) which makes his bones very twisted and disfigured. so if you're looking to read something not too heavy on the brain, here is a recommendation from me.
