Closed Stickies

I'm just wondering about the stickies that were closed in general book discussion: Why are they still stickies if they are closed? Is it possible to "un-stick" them? I would prefer it if the closed threads could just "fade away" and it doesn't appear that closed stickies can do this.

You are right in saying that closed stickes will always remain at the top. Removing the sticky is one option that is being considered, however we are currently moving some of the posts from IJFR into the relevant discussion threads. It is easier at the moment to leave it at the top so we can access it quickly rather than having to search for it, but if it is a problem then we can probably remove them

I hope they get left sticky as I'm heavily in favour of them being unlocked.
