Cornelia Funke: Inkdeath

I love this series. I know it is in the young adult section, but I am proud to say I have read both books and I am waiting of the third. Inkdeath sounds promising as well. My favorite character is Dustfinger and I am hoping he gets out of the realm of the White Ladies. I am hoping Fenoglio writes him out of it somehow.

I would love to know what people think about this series, and when is the due date for Inkdeath?

Great story. I too enjoy this series. Inkdeath is out in German since Sept. 07. Translated English version should be coming about in October 07, 2008.

Inkheart the movie will be out on Jan 30, 2009.

Count me in as well. Someone I know got an advance copy of Inkdeath at the BEA in LA recently. Sigh. I am so jealous. I really want to see what's going to happen with Dustfinger and crew.

Annoyed that the movie got pushed back too. Dumb writers' strike just screwed up all kinds of things.

My daughter is now reading inkheart, had a hard time in the begining but now is enjoying it.

I loved these books, but read them quite a while ago, so I dont' remember a single thing except that I enojyed them extremely and was saddened when they ended and I'd be glad to find another series just as good. And I could totally relate to all the bibliophilia and bibliomania in the books.

I look forward to reading Inkdeath and seeing what becomes of them. This was one instance where I think the second book surpasses the first one, so the third installment should be very promising.

Even though some of the casting choices for the movie seem questionable to me, I'll still watch it.

I liked the last book. The author made some changes that I didn't quite understand, but over-all I liked it, and let the changes slide. To me they didn't matter that much, and I just enjoyed the story. :)
