I read and voted for 'Never Go Back' by Robert Goddard. 'Ash and Bone' by John Harvey was also very good and I have a couple more lined up to read.

Best Crime Book Of 2007

I haven't been able to accesss the site for some reason so I don't know what the list is about.

But my personal favorite 2007 crime novel is Stephen L. Carter's
NEW ENGLAND WHITE written in that year

My favorite read in the genre is MOTHERLESS BROOKLYN by Jonahtan Letham.

I don't know if it apply to 2007,I just got into the Parker serie ,hunter ,man with a gateway face, the outfit,...

it's pure thrillers,no mystery.
Ed mc Bain and lawrence Block are good to.
there is a french one called Fred vargas ,a few translation exist.
