I read the first 3 Cirque Du Freak books with my kids, we liked 'em. Nothing offensive or inappropriate for youngsters (imo). Apparently there are now 9 or 10 books or so in the series.

Shan has a new book, Lord Loss coming out that is part 1 of a new series.

there are 12 books in the saga of darren shan plus a new series named lord loss or the demonata yeah it gets more grusome by the way
