Daylight Savings Time

I LOVE daylight savings time. I work at night and sleep all day long. I often sleep until 4PM and by the time I get ready to go it is too dark to do much outside. Now, sunset will be an hour later, meaning I can jog outside instead of at the gym. YAY!

We changed two nights ago, thank gawd!

Dark in the morning when we wake up and dark at night! I;m at work when sunlight appears. Oh joy!

Wouldn't it be better to find another source of power than oil, instead of fucking with people's rutines.

i'm with you, Motokid- i like the change. but i definitely hate waking up one hour earlier (i get up at 5:40am). let's be honest, it's not easy to fall asleep one hour earlier in order to accomodate having to wake up one hour earlier- so most people are gonna lose that hour of sleep for a few days. but i love the longer sunlight in the evenings, even though i'm plunged back into darkness when i leave for work in the mornings.

5.40!! Pah, some people got it easy!! :D

I work shift work, so sometimes I am up at 5 am every day for a week ... and even with the clocks going back it is still close to dawn breaking when I get up. Roll on the summer, long lazy days in the sun :)

My alarm goes off at 4:20am. I'm at work no later than 5:20am.

boo-hooo hooo

but then again, I get off at 2:00pm :D :D

I'd just like to mention that someone forgot to tell the weather that it is officially British Summer Time. Today on the eastern side of England we have had snow and really bad hailstorms all day. Lovely spring weather! :D

yes but i live in Vancouver. we western Canadians are notorious for our relaxed work schedules and easy living lifestyles. to be out of bed that early is craziness around here. :D

there is a series on cbc right now about the queen's castle and all the stuff going on etc. there is an employee who works full time as a clock smith(is that the right term?) anyway he said when the clocks change, it takes him 16 hours to change all the clocks in the castle and surrouding grounds.
