Deodorant or Antiperspirant?

jerked back on track...or the jerk is back on track....

Do you women think the absence of hair might help in eliminating odor, or is it purely a visual, cosmetic thing?

I have no idea whether it affect the odour... I have no clue - I never really thought about it. What I *do* know is that when I break into a sweat the itching is always worse if there's hair in the area. Thus I tie my hair up on my head as opposed to have it down, and thus I shave my armpits, which is a very 'un-charming' place to scratch oneself all the time.

I suppose it's visual too - I've heard of only very very few men who found it hot that a woman had a small forest in her armpits.

to us woman, hair is considered unsightly especially when on armpit.
and most guys don't like girls with hair on their armpit.

according to my experience, one of my friend don't like to have her armpit shaved and she was being laughed at. Some people jeered at her and gave her a nick "black forest". I found it funny and humiliating at the same time. So I told her about it. But she still insisted on not having a shave there. And I still don't really know the reason why don't she just shave since she still wear sleeveless sometimes.

while, getting rid of hair does'nt really eliminate the odor, because the sweat pores are still under your armpit. that's what I found. And having sweat under armpit after sometime, the odor will occur. does this makes sense? :)

this is surely interesting. Maybe some people will fall in love with armpits? or with people talking about armpits?

This could lead to a whole new fetish club, if there's not one for armpits already.

Back on track now, I sometimes use an anti-perspirant/deodorant combo but not often. I'm also normally waxed but in a hurry I'll shave, mainly for cosmetic reasons and after all this time doing it for comfort reasons as well.

I can't imagine myself with bushy armpit. It will be very ticklish!?!?!
I never had a bushy one before, I only have afew hairs on armpit when I'm 16. And, its countable! Maybe my growing hormones is not active during that period. Now, I shave monthly, because the hair tickles my armpit when they are long enough.

Antiperspirant can be quite sticky sometimes. Experience before? It makes your armpit sticky but fresher than having sweat underneath. =P

That might be the reason why men have begun to shave their armpits as well. So that they don't have to suffer through the constant tickling. Though some males stay hairy and put on a brave face.

Are men starting to shave their pits?????

I've not seen this, nor have I heard about it.

And as for the tickle....never noticed it before...doesn't happen to me.

The only men I've known to shave their pits were swimmers trying to cut their time down.
I don’t know anybody that has a problem with tickle.

i once dated a cyclist who shaved his whole body, in case he crashed and got a serious case of road rash.

Men are starting to shave everything.

*shudder*

It's the whole metrosexual hype they're running now. Now my friend says a man with his nether regions shaved is very very nice - she likes.

Me, I kinda like the hair - I'm not into the whole prepubescent look.

Ahem, soooo anyways.

I never had the hair tickle me either - only itch, but not tickle.

he shaved so that he'd skid easier if he had a crash? :p

lol, no it was so that if he did crash there wouldn't be infection from the hair or they wouldn't have to shave it or something to that effect.

its a very ummmm interesting thread Moto- I use Dove Radiant Silk - which is a combo of anti and deodorant. As for perfume I only apply it occassionally - when out to dinner for example, on my birthday this year I was given my own perfume which was pretty cool, the only other one I ever use is Chanels Allure. I tend to use a body lotion daily which gives a light and fresh scent.

Ladies, I found that the itching/sandpaper feel etc.. all disappeared after I began waxing instead of shaving.

Weird how this makes me feel as if i've just been really intimate with everyone.

Oh and lastly, Jenn, your and Motos posts really put a smile on my face - if theres ever a cyber wedding (I know your married Jenn, but heck he'd only be a cyber hubby) can I please please be a flowergirl?

Baking Soda? Renee?

That's how I got hooked on waxing, I love rubbing my own legs right after they are done, so smooth. Now if I could just get hubby to wax his face :D
