desperately searching for a book from 5th grade

in 5th grade i read a book that i really really liked. unfortunately, i never wrote the name down, and i have been searching for it now for like 5 or 6 years. i remember that it's about a girl named freedom and she runs away with her brother to the camping spot where her mother and father took them when they were younger, at a beach or something. i also remember that the mother was an alcoholic. if anyone knows what book i'm talking about, please tell me, i'd grately appreciate it. from what i can remember i want to say the title is something like (journey for freedom). not too sure about that though. and i believe that the cover of the book had the boy and girl standing with a wagon on some grass with green in the background, and the book was red. tyvm to those that do help me!

are you sure the girl's name is Freedom, or could it be a variation of the word "free"?

also, check out the sticky at the top of this forum, "looking for a book you read in school". It's got some good advice on finding books like this.

tyvm i went to that part and found a website to look up keywords. the girl's name came to me and i typed it in and found the book. tyvm!!!!!!!

by the way....i was really wrong about the title...it's A Share of Freedom by June Rae Wood.....excellent book from what i remember!!!!
