Dirk Pitt

Quite a few of them. My favorite so far is Inca Gold. They're just plain fun. I've read a couple of books in his Kurt Austin series, too, but the Pitt books are better, IMO.

I read Atlantis Found while I was in jail
it took a few days
man was I glad when I finished it
you know that "good riddence" feeling

There's a fair bit of Clive Cussler discussion here, for anyone who's interested, or if a mod fancies merging this thread with that one.

That was a good book-I liked the part about how everyone came up abducted after Dirk made it back to the surface and how he infiltrated the squad's little camp out. Of course, nothing like a story featuring an aged hero who scurries up a mountian to take out a look-out post single handedly.:D

I remember trying to read one of the books but failed miserably. Would Inca Gold be a good choice for me?

Cussler is really good at having a formula and then churning out book after book, so it really doesn't matter where you start with him. I personally enjoy how a problem is presented early on in the book, from a previous historical era and then Dirk and the gang are on the prowl.

Dirk Pitt! what a guy! :D i have enjoyed these books... really enjoyed watching Sahara too!
