I was just wondering what do you think of long distance realtionships, internet relationships? Have you ever had a long distance relationship or internet relationship?

Never had one - and I honestly think it doesn't work. Or, at the least, it's hard to maintain. I mean, for a relationship to work, you have to be physically together at least every once in a while - for several reasons.

Thanks but no thanks.

It's only because I heard somewhere that 1 in 5 relationships start from over the internet.

I think with internet relationships you share more things than you do in person. Well thats what I have read up.

All the advice in the world can't help you. Do whatever your heart tells you. This is good advice, only only for this, but for everything. If you feel it with your heart. If you do it out of love then it is a good parth to take.

I'll believe that, sure - it's much easier to spill your guts to a monitor than to an actual face. Still, not my cuppa tea - I wanna be able to touch the person I love.

Why, are you planning something?

I personally don't think it would work - I know I broke up with my bf when I went to university and part of the reason for that was because we didn't see each other as much

Erm .. what is good advice? I don't believe I gave any.

Ice: You broke up with Phil?! :p

My good advise! I am so wise :D

And, yes it can work. It's just difficult. Although, I would not recommend to go looking for it because it's very difficult. But if that is where your heart takes you then so be it :)

The poet.

And Ice, I was kidding. But, what you're saying is, he was the proverbial other man?

I deny all knowledge of being the other man.

Clearly HE was the other man, who just had happened to have had a couple of years head start ;)

Phil :D

Ummm... my husband and I met on the Net, IRC actually, back in 1996. We were friends for a year, and dated for another, all while living 900 miles apart.

It was hard as hell, and I wouldn't wish it on ANYONE, but we've now been together for over six years (married for almost five of those six) and we're still goin' strong. The work we put into maintaining the relationship long distance went a LONG way to helping build a rock solid foundation.
