I actually, believe it or not, can't listen to soothing music while I read or I realize I haven't taken in what I read at all. What about the rest of you?

I do the same thing. I sing..and turn the pages...then 30 pages later realize I remember nothing!!!zoe08 said:I can sometimes listen to soft music with no words....but if there are words its too tempting for me to sing instead of read...lol...haha scary...lol

I've been told I'm strange this way.

Same with me. I need "quiet" when I read. Now sleeping, I can sleep through anything.pontalba said:Well, I'm one that cannot listen to anything while reading. I find it way too distracting and cannot concentrate. If someone has the tv on, I have to go to the other room to read. If I try, I find myself rereading the same paragraph over and over with nothing sinking in.
I can (and did) sleep thru a hurricane, but not television!muggle said:Same with me. I need "quiet" when I read. Now sleeping, I can sleep through anything.
