Does anyone know the name of a book i read years ago

Hi everyone from the land of Oz. My name is marzie and i live in Melbourne, Australia. Im wondering if anyone can help me with the name of a book i read years ago. From memory it was about a family who ran a funeral home in i think it was Southern America. The book i think was white maybe and about 400 pages. The husband ran the business and i think his wife was pregnant and fairly lazy, laying in the backyard sipping mint juleps. It was a really funny book and i would love to read it again but i cant remember the name of the book. Maybe someone can help?

There was a book that came out back around 1999-2000 that was called "Final Remains" or something similar, about a young guy that begins working for a funeral home in Florida. I remember the beginning talked about how the main character decided to work there because his parents were killed in a plane crash when he was young and the owner was very kind to him during the funeral.
