don't start the revolution without me

there's a character in this movie called Escargot.

one of the corsican brothers asks him what disguise he will be wearing on a dangerous journey.

He means to say that he will not be wearing a disguise, and he says,
"I will be dressed as Escargot" this sounds like "as cargo" which is a convenient disguise in transit, but the sentence sounds; I will be dressed as as cargo
so he could have said "My disguise will be Escargot"

well he wouldn't have the shell right? I'm not sure,

if escargot means a snail without a shell, then a shell is the cargo of the slug? and so escargot would wear a shell as cargo

or escargot is the cargo of a shell, if the shell can't be called cargo by the snail being charged or laden with the shell

I guess if Escargot was disguised like that they'd have to start the revolution without him cause he wouldn't get there in time
