My pre-schoolers are getting a healthy dose of Dr. Seuss. Which book is your child's favorite? I can't post all of them, so I'll try and get as many as I think would be included, and leave an all inclusive "other" category for others to add in the odds and ends I missed.

If you don't have kids, you can just go ahead and post which one is your favorite.:D

You bring back a warm memory of reading Dr. Seuss books to/with my kids. We liked Horton and the On beyond Zebra one plus, of course, the CAT.

Sometimes when things go wrong and a lot of stuff (mostly minor) slips out of control, I think about the Cat.

Since I could only vote for one, I voted for Green Eggs and Ham-which I've read so many times I can read it with my eyes shut..which is very hard to do! What's so cool about Dr. Seuss books is how they can become part of one's family culture..lines spring up in seemingly unrelated conversations..such as when the Dad walks into the house from an obviously tough day at the salt mines, and somebody pipes in with, "Sad Dad bad had...he had a bad day, what a day Dad had!" Or when someone says, "I meant what I said, and I said what I meant...an elephant's faithful....100%!" Seuss is pure fun and a great way to incorporate word play into family life.

I think my favorite would be Fox in Socks. I seen some of the Seuss books available with plush toys at Sears over the weekend. It was quite tempting, but I don't have room for more toys. Or books for that matter... ;)

I always talk with a lisp for a few hours after reading Fox in Socks. All that Nixie Knox stuff gets to me:p

If I Ran the Zoo, The Cat in the Hat, and The Butter Battle Book . I used to hide them so I wouldn't have to read them again, again, again...

I don't have childern but I remeber as a child I would always ask for Fox in Sox at that point it might have just been because I found it funny to watch my parents become tounge tied. /sigh those were the days.
