Dreams...

The worst dream I ever had was a lucid dream. I struggled to wake myself up, but only dreamed that I had woken up. So, I was dreaming that I had just woken up and was sitting on the edge of my bed trying to collect my thoughts. The situation progressed to the point where I was left with the alternatives that I was awake but had gone insane in my sleep, or that I was actually still sleeping, even though I was pretty sure I was awake. I don't need to have another of those as long as I live.
I also once dreamed that I was flying around in a woman's housecoat with squirrels in my back pockets. But that was back when I was drinking.

I had a whole summer of dreams like that back when I was a teenager. I agree, they are the worst. Glad you've only had one, and very glad I don't have them anymore.

I used to dream that I woke up and was getting ready for work, only to find that I had overslept and was running late. Getting ready for work isn't as much fun when you spent the past few minutes dreaming that you were.

 I would hate to have that dream!!!

Last night had a bit of a nightmare!

My dream: There was some kinda monster in my bathroom. I really needed to go to the toilet so got up and went into the bathroom. The light in the bathroom didn't work so was even worse. I hurried back to bed ( for some reason ) I had a lot of knifes to protect me. I put the knifes under the pillow in case of monster attack :D

I had a dream that one day this World rose up and lived out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal." I had a dream that one day on the oil fields of Iraq the sons of former 'insurgents' and the sons of former 'liberators' sat down together at a table of freedom and brotherhood. I had a dream that one day even the country of the USA, a bullying nation, sweltering with the heat of aggression and arrogance, was transformed into an oasis of freedom, compassion and non-insular understanding. I had a dream that the children of the World lived in a place where they were not judged by their bank-balance, but by the content of their character. I had a dream last night.

Following on from that, I had a dream that I had a shave with an old 'Gillette Excel' - it hurt. Mach 3 Turbos are the way of the future and I shall shortly have a bath in my jacuzzi, followed by a clean shave with a new blade.

Sweet dreams...

There someone I know who dreams of numbers regularly and she buys lottery with them (typically 4 digits, sometimes with some permutations i.e. backwards of the dreamt sequence). Quite often she's strike and get hundreds of bucks. Her probability rate is much higher than average.

Did you know there are certain interpretations of dreams where if you dream of flying it symbolizes death? Don't ask me why though.

Ashlea... I had the teeth falling out dream not too long ago. My teeth became loose and I could actually pluck them out by hand. In mindless reaction I'd try and force it back in again, hoping that it'd take root in my gums. Creepy.

I had a really scary dream a few weeks ago. My place had been come really like a labyrinth and I was being chased by werewolfs! I made it to my bedroom and closed the door. Lay waiting in the dark...

One good thing about braces, once I had them I never had that dream again.

i had a dream that a young boy would loose his sight in this coming early december. that he is the son of a actor or actress, and that it would be tragic and known about on tv for a while. maybe it was a preminision instead. dunno

LOL!
Ash, what would you suggest I do if I dream of falling hair?

You know, there's this book of pictures that has corresponding numbers. If you dream of something, you look up that something in the book, and you buy lottery with the corresponding number. For instance, if you dream of a garbage truck, the number you should buy is 1110.

Oh, it seems that this thingee is on the web as well! :) Goto this link, and navigate:
home > what numbers to buy > treasure chest. This is the "Translate your Dream" thing I was talking about, only online.

Dreams and Question

I don't remember my dreams for the last couple of nights, but they generally are very specific and problem-solving (and doesn't that just sound boring!). I am an arachniphobe, so when I am facing a major life change or problem that I'm nervous about I have nightmares about either gigantic spiders, waves of millions of spiders or (ugh) both!

But my question for everyone here is -- do you usually dream in black and white or in color?

I'm not sure I want to read about his perverted sort of dream! It'd blind me!!

I've just rediscovered this thread and I must have missed this impertinent posting back in September (I was probably getting ready for my holiday).
In revenge for this impudence I'm going to make a point of remembering all of my dreams and posting them regularly. Unless they have penguins in them.

Most were colorless, in black and white, except some outstanding colors, such as red. (for example, a red lady coat, dark red bed suite, and bloods, etc. once there was a vast extension of green grass.)

I can never have a clear vision of the people in the dreams though, how they looked like, what did they get dressed...

Conscious dreaming choices

I would like to know who makes conscious dreaming choices. ctadams question about color brought to mind times I have "turned on" the color in dreams, like consciously deciding to see the color, as if it was always there but I didn't notice.

Something I practice: guiding the narrative direction of a dream. Saying, wait a minute, I don't like how this is going. I'd better change it now or it will be really unpleasant to be sleeping through this.

Does anyone else do this? Usually I remember it only if I wake up shortly after or during. Sometimes I get up for a second then go back to bed and turn the dream on again, but usually it's hard to get it back. Hard to remember exactly what was happening. Takes a lot of practice.

I'm very good at sleeping, ha. I mean, I can fall asleep when I want to and wake up when I have to. I can empty my mind, though if I'm worried about someone they will often be in a dream acting out the bad thing I'm worried about.

I think sleep is something I have developed skill in. Dumb? Maybe being vacuous is a good thing sometimes.

Last night I dreamed that my boys and I were carrying groceries into the house and they were swingning the bags around making lots of noise and I scolded them. Then suddenly it was like someone pressed rewind and the exact thing happened again. I woke up and realized the noise from the plastic shopping bags was REAL. A mouse was in the top of my closet, rustling around in some shopping bags. I had to get up and put a trap up there or it would have kept me up all night ( I am a very light sleeper). Anyone else have real noises turn up as you are dreaming?

novella-- I make choices to change my dreams all the time. Once I dreamt that someone was trying to drown me and I decided that in that dream I could breathe under water, no problem. But sometimes the dream isn't very cooperative.
