First couple to be in bed together on tv

Anybody care to guess which married television couple was the first to be shown actually sleeping in the same bed? Up until this point the bedroom was always shown with two twin beds seperated by a night table, or the couple was never actually shown in bed. Then along came this show. Both husband and wife were shown in the same queen size bed together at the same time.

Take a guess which show it was, who the characters were, and a general time frame that this happened in American television.
