Flag Burning

Again, if you didn't get offended by it they wouldn't do it. You're the one that gives power to the symbol and you're the one who can withhold that power. It's all in the mind. The flag really is just a piece of fabric.

As Stephen Fry said so eloquently, 'So you’re offended. So fucking what?'

You have quoted Stephen Fry the bloke that advertises tea. Is that to impress us?

So he advertises tea. So fucking what?

People have to make a living. Stephen, thankfully, doesn't just advertise tea. He's a comedian, writer, TV presenter, actor, film maker, and novelist. And also a wealth of knowledge.

...and he has had a mental breakdown and has tried to commit suicide. None of that makes his comment, no matter how eloquently he says it, justifiable to the flag burning argument. Neither does swearing.

Foreigners come to my country, live off the benefits that we provide, use our services and hospital care, enjoy the freedom our country gives them, then use that freedom to protest against us and part of the protest is to burn our flag then I would be happy to see them deported. At the very least.
