please. help.
so- i once read this excerpt from a book that described a government where they set a limit as to how many words you could speak a day. people learned to save their words for the ones they loved. And during the day they would limit their words to simply a nod or some frivilous movement. And at the end of the day- they would call the one they loved and use up all their saved words, until one of the lovers ran out, and the other one simply said "i love you" until they ran out of words.
It was a beautiful idea, and beautifully written
and i'm heartbroken because i can't remember the title or the author. So if anyone thinks this sounds even slightly familiar- i would greatly appreciate your help.
