Formal Introduction

FAB

kickbox
Hello everyone,

I would like to take a moment to formally introduce myself before jumping into the middle of conversations.

I currently live in Southern Spain, which I consider one of the most passionate lands to experience. The culture provides openness towards what is the true Latin heritage. Andalucia is, by far, the friendliest of all the Spanish regions. Their love for enjoying life for the day is unparalleled.

I am a romance writer that has, of late, experienced some experimenting within other genres. Terrorism has been one of the greatest continuous events in my life with losses of friends dating back to the early 1980s. Having this dark shadow always cast over myself as driven me to write a novel based on, both, the 9/11 attacks as well as the March 11 training bombings in Madrid.

I have just released my fourth romance novel. It is the first in a Trilogy of romance with a back setting in Southern Spain. I felt, as I embarked on this project, compelled to share insight on this wonderful country with my readers.

That, basically, is a quick overlook of myself. I encourage any feedback, comments or just a quick “hello” from everyone. My website has a feedback form to permit anyone to correspond with me.

Again, I joined this forum because of a recommendation and, above all, the quality of people that post here. With time, I hope to fit into this group.

Sincerely,

Frederick A. Babb

what city are you from?

Welcome, FAB. You'll enjoy it here. I've seen some reviews of your books, and they seem interesting. You should get the Spanish Triology reviewed by Romantic Times Bookclub. They have a huge reader base all over the world, and it would dramatically increase your exposure and sales. Drop by their site, at:

Good luck, and again -- welcome!

Hello,

I live near Sevilla, but go to Granada about once a month. In all honesty, I can't think of a better place to live. Thanks for the welcome!!!!

Hello FAB and welcome to the forum.

I'm not really into romance stories but what are the other genres you are experimenting with?

Hi FAB,

I've pretty much given up on welcoming people around here because they tend to use me up and spit me out. If you promise not to spit me out, maybe I can get Wabbit to share some of his tumble weed.

Thank God he left out crack whores & Silly Wabbits.

Wait...they're one in the ...oh, nevermind. :D

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. Let's see if I can answer some of the comments. Apart from romance, I am working on a non-fiction book about terrorism and its victims. I am also working on a ficticious book about the Grim Reaper.

I promise not to chew anyone up and spit them out. I hope to fit in here, learn the wisdom from all of you and share what I have learned over the years.

Again, thanks for making a person feel at home.

American football? Err... don't understand it. :) I liked _Remember the Titans_ though.

It's just that you're in Spain, and near Sevilla to boot, your sports pages must be quite full with La Liga news. :)
