Guess I should have checked the forums before introducing myself on my first thread...opps. :eek: My name is Becky. As you can see, I love Prince. :p

I found the site through google, searching for book discussion forums because I always have that problem of needing something new to read, but not knowing what. My friends and family are not exactly readers.. and so I decided that a forum would be the perfect place for me to find out about good reads, and discuss books that I enjoyed. After stumbling through several horrid sites, I found this one and decided it was perfect. :)

Some favorite books of mine are, in case anyone is curious (LOL):
- 'The Illustrated Man' by Ray Bradbury..in fact, anything by Bradbury is fabulous.
-'Nine Stories' by J. D. Salinger
-'A Confederacy of Dunces' by John Kennedy Toole
-'A Clockwork Orange' by Anthony Burgess
And I am currently reading "White Noise", by Don DeLillo.

Just a quickie q: is the blend in my signature too big? =/ I noticed that no one else had blends..should I remove it?

It is a bit large than the norm actually, yes. But a nifty pic nonetheless. Could you make it a wee bit smaller? :)
 
Welcome Love4OneAnother. I happened on this great place much the same way you did. I was starved for good books and book talk, too. Now my list of books to read is longer than my arm!!!

i guess the pic in the signature its ok altough im not a prince fan, but its actually a little too big, if you could reduced to about a quarter of its actual size would be great

And yes, this place totally rocks! I've read through some of the 'list' threads, one window here and one window on bn.com to read the synopsis/review, I've added a total of 25 books to my 'Things I need to Read' list. :rolleyes: I shall be busy forever, but I am so glad I'm here.

We'll have to ask that your signature size is slimmed down though. Five lines is the maximum really.

Only 25? My list has grown from about 25 when I joined up, to let's see...about six pages now. Enjoy.
