The main question here is games, are they a waste of time?
First of all I’m asking here a community that reads i.e. a community that (I hope ) has the sense and appreciation of time, but of course many people who read also play games. For example, I wouldn’t be asking this question in a gaming forum.
One side of the discussion would be that it’s a complete waste of time! But I look at the world and see gamers and game producers are dramatically increasing from year to year. The latest technologies and graphics are being used to produce game consoles that you couldn’t dream of 10 years ago. I’ve seen some trailers on the PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360 and it’s incredible.
The hours that a persons spend on video games is increasing; they are substituting many activities of our daily life. Do you agree with me?
The other side of the discussion is that games are the best form of entertainment. You just sit in front of a computer or TV but you enjoy your time; the scene, the gameplay, the challenge, the adventure, the graphics, the music! In addition, it can be a social activity.
Where in the spectrum do you stand?
