Greeting

Hi Joyette, I too, like you, was happy to be here... once...

Then the moderators banned us regulars from voting in the book of the month choice for April. Now I feel sad and dejected. Then Peder started bullying me... he even tried to take my lunch money last week but luckily I packed rye bread and pastrami that day so he was out of luck.

Sparkchaser is ok, I guess. Though he pinches me when no one's looking which has left me with a group of unsightly bruises on my upper arms. Watch out for Polly and Landslide, they have foul tempers and will ban you at the slightest outburst or sign of individuality. Seriously. I've taken to posting on the forums using post-it notes stuck to my monitor here at home to get around their brutal crackdown. Granted, only I can read my discourse and replies, but it's mildly amusing and keeps me out of trouble...

Also Cosimaho2 won't speak to you unless you're perfect at French. C'est tres bien, non! And beergood will edit your signature when you log off, so be careful or before you know it you'll be advertising Viagra and Cheap Rolex Watches to the world in your signature. Though granted, they are at knock-down prices, so I'll give him that...

There are some new people who are a bit scary too. Lovecraftian, for example - he told me that he made a voodoo doll of me and sticks small pieces of minced beef into its ear holes to make me dizzy. Also Mzblueeyes is practising mesmerism and can talk to you through the internet and make you do stuff. I think anyway, it could be my imagination. Actually, that reminds me, Anamnesis may be trying to steal my soul through his modem, but I can't be sure; it may only be that my tin-foil hat needs replacing. <twitch>

Personally I would be happy again if maybe we could get some more self-published authors promoting their books on here. Ideally those using anonymous logon accounts whereby they pretend to be some innocent third-party that just started reading some book created by themself in MS Word using what might as will be sticky-paste and newspaper clippings for the formatting problems it will end up having had on my Kindle...

I'm rather friendly most of the time, actually. Just be careful around me when I've had a drink or two.

Nice.

Polly Parrot, I work in Administration. Most of my days are spent writing various documents including speeches. My reading taste these days is mostly empowerment stuff. Just finished reading 'Who moved My Cheese' and 'One Minute Manager'
