I've been reading Greg Bear's Queen of Angels for about 2 weeks now. I'm finding it hard to get into. Usually a book like this is a 3 or 4 day read for me. So needless to say I'm not that impressed with him. His characters aren't that interesting and the story just isn't that compelling either. Anyone else have thoughts?
 
Do you like hard science fiction generally? Because I think most of Bear's books fall into that category.
 
I've been meaning to read more books by Bear, but haven't really gotten around to it. I read Eon a few years ago, and It was a great book. Darwin's Radio was very good too.
