The hardest book I've ever read is Kant's Critique of Pure Reason. I don't think it gets much harder than that.

The 10 most difficult books to finish
Not sure I agree with the choices, not to mention that they seem a bit arbitrary (how do you pick just these ten from the last 2,500 years of literature?), but I like that it's an article that tells you what he thinks of the books rather than just complain about how complicated books are, like, hard and stuff.
