Has anyone ever noticed this? (Artemis Fowl)

I don't have the first Artemis Fowl with me right now, so I can't quote, but I am sure this is correct. I love the books, it's just that this annoys me more than a little as a flaw in an otherwise perfect book. Heh heh.

When Artemis freezes the superfast camera (just before Butler goes out and beats up lots of fairies), I am sure that it says something about the cherry blossom freezing in mid-air (through the camera). It also says something about the cherry trees when Mulch goes tunnelling under the Manor and Foaly gets whacked in the face with recycled clay. However, at the end of the book, Angeline Fowl clearly states that it is Christmas. Now, I don't know about Ireland, but over here in England cherry blossom falls in May.

Anyhow, do you think that Artemis has really gone good? Because I really liked him as a kind of reluctant hero. Although the amazing Eoin Colfer will probably be able to do something incredibly clever.

i suppose he's better then he was before, which kinda messes up the whole part about being a CRIMINAL mastermind. but still the books are wonderful!

In some ways Artemis Fowl has always been a good guy. Yes, he's a criminal... but he couldn't be the hero of the books unless you were on his side. He's I think what they call an anti-hero - someone who manages to win sympathy with the reader despite not conforming to the typical image of a good guy.

Many times he's revealed that he's really quite nice at heart... an 'honest villain' if you like.
