I have been on a huge reading spree lately and so figured this would be a good means of talking to others who also enjoy reading. Lets see I have recently read:
Alchemist
Eat, Pray, love
Bird by Bird
A thousand splendid suns (awesome book)
Life of Pi
Still life of woodpecker
Passage to India
Oh I also enjoy comic books, and have been enjoying the "fables" graphic novels. Well I look forward to sharing my thoughts about some of these books with you all.

Welcome to the forum. :)

Life of Pi is a great book. I also read The Alchemist years ago, but wasn't too taken in with it. I haven't read any of the others you've listed.

Hi and welcome.:)
Splendid Suns is the same writer as The Kite Runner I think, right? I am planning of reading both.

Angerball,
Thanks for the response. Life of Pi was an awesome book. I must admit I was a little bored with it in the beginning, and I still don't fully understand the depth to which they developed his character. The ending made it well worth the patience though. I really liked the Alchemist until the end. I thought the end was a bit anti-climactic. I would like to read the book in Spanish because a lot of Hispanic literature is lost in translation. I don't think it will benefit the ending though :)

Libra,
Khaled Hosseini is an amazing author. Both of his books are very very good. I must admit though they are both very melancholy. A thousand Splendid Suns is a little less depressing because of its ending. I still think they are worth reading. Just make sure you do not read them after a loved pet dies, or any similar depressing time:)
