Hello everybody

A fast answer, By 10 or 12 weeks of pregnancy a 4D or 3D ultrasound scan reveals a voluntary activity of our baby including hand and face contacts, kick and straighten his legs, move his arms up and down, jaw opening and tongue movements, stretches and yawns. Maybe this is to get a baby ready to take its first breath. In fact, when a baby yawns inside womb help to stretch the lungs and his pulmonary tissue, it can be a way of doubling muscles and conjunctures, raising cardiac pace and to feel more awake.
Well I've yawned whilst reading this thread. I like it - it means I'm empathetic, or something.
Don't worry Steffe, it means that your heart rate is great and my logistic plan is working!;)

PS eldog_oz_2008, I am waiting your medical report about this thread. You have scientific experience and knowledge in this field! Thanks:)

I do have scientific experience but my area of "expertise" lies in the analysis of chromosomes not yawning!

I promise when a chromosome thread comes up that I will try to offer some insight into that field!

Aps, ok. I thought that you practiced in the area Gynecology, so, I thought you could explain better this subject, I tried to summarize an opinion (sometimes too wide) about why a yawn is the body's way of making us more attentive and alert through scientific and psychological studies. Anyways, eldog_oz_2008 thanks to reply. ;)
By the way, I am a sympathizer of chemicals process, so I hope to enjoy your experience in this research field.
