I am Kat, but you can just call me Valkyrie if you want. I am a Native American/Norwegian mix, so that's what my name refers to. (ValkyrieRavenfeather was too long.) I read any kind of book you put in front of me, but I don't typically read "chick lit" or books I consider to be vapid, teen novels--like Gossip Girls.
I once found that, when told out of all my values (freedom, religion, family), if I had to choose one and give up all the rest, I would choose literature. Life's not worth living without it.
I'm a writer of both poetry and novels, and I am hoping to finish my first novel (you can read part of it on the link in my profile) by my eighteenth birthday. My friend logged onto this site during school and I hadn't known a site like this existed, so I decided I would join.
 
What does 'XD' mean? I notice that you've used it s few times, and I've never seen it before. :)
 
Oh, XD means laughter. I use it more than LOL because less people use XD. My friend Trin used it online and I liked it, and until now it seems like everyone has known what it was. Maybe it's just a teenager thing, who knows?
