I'm glad to have found an active forum for book talk. My reading taste is pretty broad. I mainly read fiction - but I'm not completely allergic to non-fiction.
Among my favourite books of all time....Sacred Hunger, Unsworth, Midnight's Children - Rushdie, Vanity Fair - Thackery ...too many to mention.
Currently reading "Tipping the Velvet" by Sarah Waters...recently found her and read all the books in reverse order - great storytelling! Also re-reading Middlemarch...just 'cos.
I also enjoy children's books - recently read "Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents", Pratchett - wonderful!
I am English but have lived in Vancouver for the past 10 years.
