Hi. I'm from Greece -Athens- and I study to university.
As i see there are many things to say here.
I hope you 'll keep me a good company.
Have you ever read poems from Greek poets???

Yes, we will keep you company, and no, I haven't read anything by greek poets.

I recently saw Troy, does that count?

Cheers, Martin

Maybe it counts TROY. -there is not relationship between movie and book(they have changed many things)-.
No, there is not relationship with SPeedy Gonzales.
Speedy Parker is my favourite Book character.

Sorry for my English, i have to use them for a long time.

Welcome Speedy!

For your sake I hope your lover didn't give you that nickname. :D

I always feel badly whenever someone apologizes for their excellent use of English when it's not their native tongue. It reminds me of how much I struggle just trying to remember one language.

Don't piss me off again. :p

I have read the Iliad and the Odyssey for school, as well as a few other poems here and there, but only in translation. :(

Anywho, welcome!

I know it's a funny name but that's the name of my favourite book character.
I cannot change it. Your complains to Stephen King. ;)
He gave the name to the character.

Odyssey is a poem, but its an EPIC poem, which means the author can feel free to rattle on for AGES about all sorts of bunkum that doesnt really affect the story and get away with it :) But at heart it has a meter and it all works within certain poetic values (or some such, personally i dont care a hang for poems).

Oh, and i just realised i had to read Eurypides for the Classics part of my degree, he was Greek right!! :p

Phil

JOKE :D

KNOCK KNOCK

Oh God... they are gitting worse
