Hello: Why I prefer books to movies.

Hey everyone. My name is Kenn Baker, I just recently finished my first novel "Endless Night" which is available on amazon. I've been reading my whole life and finally got around to writing a book after two screenplays that I never tried to sell. I love movies and the cinema, but this is why I prefer books:

No talentless actor/actress destroying your dialogue.

No budget, if you can describe it in text, it exists in the reader's mind. James Cameron can't do that...yet

There is nobody to blame but myself. If I write a movie and it fails, it could be because the PR company dropped the ball, or the marketing company didn't get the budget they needed, or an actor/actress sucks, or the director took a brilliant script and gutted it ( Alien: Resurrection).

Yet a really terrible book can be made in a fantastic film.

Welcome Kenn, of course we all make our own movies in our heads when we read and these are always better than anyone else's

Hi, books and movies serve different purposes...I wouldn't say one is inherently better than the other.
