Hi! My name is Joey, and I am an avid fan of Lost! I also love to read and located this forum through my own nerdy ventures. No, actually, I simply typed in the words 'book forum' on google and this came up. I hope to be using this forum a lot in the future!

I saw the episode of the plane crashing, the fat guy wandering around with some of the survivors.........Hanso is a company that rigged the whole thing or something?
 
Welcome to the forum, Joey! :) I really like Lost too, but I watch it on UK terrestrial TV, so I'm only up to about episode three of series two. :(

It has not been specifically revealed as to what the Hanso Foundation is, however, we know that the Dharma Initiative is a part of the Hanso Foundation, more importantly, a secretive part. There are may websites that commercials during the show direct viewers to such as http://www.thehansofoundation.org and others. On these sites, passwords and phrases are required to gain access to many of the site's nuances. Just go mess around, and you'll more than likely discover something cool.

Welcome to TBF, HansoFoundation :D I love Lost myself - I download the episodes that screen in America as I'm too impatient to wait for them to come to New Zealand (they are at about S2E13 here).

Potentially - the Hanso Foundation were the ones who are responsible for the hatches on the island, and they feature in the "Orientation" video that has been shown twice this season. We find out exactly why the plane crashed in the next episode (the 2 hour season finale) - well if the promo is anything to go by anyway.
 
OMGOSH! Can you not wait until the finale!? Unfortunately for me, I will be in a place that has no access to televisions on the night of the finale. The next day, however, I will be able to have internet access to download the episode directly to my laptop to view. I AM SO EXCITED THAT IT TOOK ME THREE TRIES TO SPELL 'EXCITED' CORRECTLY!!!

Haha :D Yeah I'm really looking forward to it. The past few episodes have been excellent and I can't wait to see how it all ties up. With the past episodes being as shocking as they have been, I can't wait to see what they pull out for the finale! Any ideas where
the boat came from? It will be interesting to find out who's on board!

Welllll, We know that:
Michael asked the Others for a boat, and although we saw the boat from the season finale of season 1, perhaps the Others have another boat? I think that Michael has somehow found a way to deploy this boat as a distraction so he can get Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Locke, and Hurley away while everyone else is obsessing over the boat and its *probably* empty nature. Who knows? We'll find out soon enough!!!
