I'm new to all this. I love to read but find it frustrating sometimes to find a 'new' (to me) author.
I'm a newbie forum user and at the moment can't seem to find out how to add my profile (I seem to be down as a default male which I'm sure I'm not!).

I'm looking forward to finding my way around and hopefully having the nerve to chip in.
 
Hello Annie and welcome to the forum.
To change your profile, there's a link on the top left called User CP which is short of User Control Panel. Go there and you'll find a link of the left to edit your profile.

I'm still not sure how to reply so here goes. I found the link thanks and have added a few details, including my updated gender! I read a fairly wide variety of books but my problem is remembering. Maybe I'll keep a log now so I can share my fleeting thoughts. I've taken a note of the books of the month for the past few months and will attempt to find them at the local library. I'm impressed by the two replies I've had from as far apart as Lebanaon and Kansas.
 
Ah, but how do you know he's not from Lebanon Kansas;)

He's not, but with the net, he's practically a neighbor just the same!

You joined yesterday and already you've posted 15 times. I'm impressed. I'm definitely off to the library tomorrow with a list of recommendations in my hot little hand. Just what I needed to get me going. :)

Let me know what you think of the latest Harry Potter when you've finished it. My son is now 18 and has grown up reading them and I've also read them supposedly to chat to him about them but after the first one I was hooked. I read the latest one on holiday this summer (Lake Garda in Italy- motorhoming, seems an age ago now as it is SO cold here but we only got back ten days ago) but I won't tell you about my thoughts until you've read it.
 
Hi, new here

Always looking for others who read.I have a lot of reading time since the restaurant I work at is under construction due to a upstairs apt. fire.
My favorite reads are fantasy(Urban,Epic,Dark), Horror,SF,Mystery,just about everything except the romance stuff.
