Hello all, new member here. I am a writer and trying to get my first novel published. I write romance, but read different types of books. I'm currently working on a steampunk vampire themed story. Looking forward to the interactions.

Hi. What are some novels you've enjoyed lately?

I just finished Mary Shelly's Frakenstein, and I'm currently reading Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurty and The India Fan by Victoria Holt. I like a lot of the older books and Louis L'Amour, Victoria Holt and Phyillis Whitney are the authors I grew up reading. More recently I read the third book in Gail Carrigers Parasol Protectorate series, the fourth is due out the end of February.

what's a steampunk?

Steampunk is a type of genre that inspired movies like The Wild Wild West, The League of Extrodinary Gentleman, The Time Machine. It usually centers around the time of Queen Victoria with steam powered vehicles and inventions. There are other themes as well, but those are the common ones.
