Just finished Murder of Roger Ackroyd. It was a very clever mystery and character of Poirot is very funny. I will pick up more of these stories next time I work at library.

They do not have that one at library here, but I wouldn't read it now anyway because an idiot friend of mine told me how it ends.
I just picked up Poirot book with 3 stories in it. I see they have quite a few Poirot novels there, as you say. Also, not only did this guy tell me how murder on orient express ends, but he keeps hitting me up for money.
I started reading through these in sequence a few years ago, need to get back into reading them actually as was quite enjoyable. The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is a very good book indeed, but many of them are quite strong (with the exception of The Big Four which is a little wanting I found).
In addition to those mentioned above by others Peril at End House and The ABC Murders also stand out, and the book where it all started, The Mysterious Affair at Styles is also very readable and sets the character of Poirot up nicely for the rest of the series. Still lots more to read though...
