Hi everyone :)

I just joined right now, I usually read a book a week whilst I'm at work, but today Ive been reading about books :p

I enjoy reading Harry Potter, as well as anything British and humerous. I'm also a bit of a chick lit fan.

I too am from Yorkshire!

You all seem so nice, I was honestly a bit intimidated at first because everyones reading Steinbeck and Sallinger and I'm reading Kinsella!
 
No need to be intimidated - we just ignore any book snobs when they drop in! :p

What I call a book snob is basically someone who fancies themselves as being superior, sneers at other people's reading choices and attacks those people's intelligence for reading what they see as "inferior" work. Read what you enjoy, whether it be King, Hardy, Proust, Cartland, Brown, whatever! :)
 
Oh, you have made me feel much better, I thought people were going to laugh at my reading choices :p

I have read classics such as Catcher in the Rye, and The Great Gatsby, granted because I was told to in high school, but I did truely appreciate them.
 
Welcome Angelfish! While we do a lot of laughing around here, I promise I won't laugh at your book choices if you don't snort at mine;)
