Hi everyone! :)
I'm new to this sort of thing, so be gentle!! Its the 1st forum I've ever joined and it looks pretty good. Look forward to chatting with you all.

Cheers!!! :)

Greetings and salutations. I, too, am new here and enjoy the conversations (although I have yet to plunge deep into one yet) that I read here. Tell us more about yourself. Hope you find this board rewarding.

Don't you worry, we're a harmless crowd, for the most part. ;) Don't be shy, we were all first-timers at one point.

Just think of this as a local cafe where you can come any time of day to chat with friends.

Hello everyone, nice to meet you all. You seem a pretty friendly bunch alright and I look forward to having a bit of a chat now and again.

"Eire = Ireland" correct and full marks.

I live in the north/east region in the county of Meath.

I like to read horror, as in Stephen King, and I really enjoyed most of Joanne Harris's novels. I also quite like some of the teenage/young adult fantasy that's around at the moment, (even though I'm in my 30's, and I should add that's my very early 30's). Sometimes I think there is a better choice of books in the teenage section than in the adults. Does anyone else feel the same?

I couldn't agree more! There are some great fantasy books for "young adults" around at the moment eg Pullman, Nix, Mary Hoffman and Philip Reeve. Welcome to the forum, and check out the Children's Fiction area for discussions on some of the above authors! :)

Welcome, to the last refuge of the damned!!

Or, as some people like to call it, "the forums"!!!

Welcome c-jay, this is my first forum too! In response to the question though, I gotta say, as a teenager, I've been thinking that there's a better bunch of books in the adults section. Maybe they should switch them around so that both age groups may easier locate books they enjoy? Haha just one of my silly ideas. Anyway, welcome again! :D
