Hi everyone, I'm Andrea and I'm a chronic book-a-holic.
I sought this forum out because everyone in "real life" is probably pretty sick of listening to me talk about books. My husband is very patient with my blow-by-blow plot summaries and random tirades, but he can only be expected to endure so much. I needed to find others of my ilk to "hang out" with.
I am 32-years-young, and super nerdy. Last year I married my favorite person on the planet, and we have a (big, noisy, busy) combined family of 5 kids (4 his, 1 mine, all "ours" now). By day, I'm a data analyst for a large internet company. By night, I read too much and sleep too little.
I like to read everything. I'm very open-minded and will give just about anything a try. I bounce around between genres, and at any given time you could catch me reading anything from Diary of a Wimpy Kid to something like Moby Dick. I really like books as physical objects and have a rather large home library, but I also read eBooks and audiobooks. Right now I'm reading Shades of Grey (the one by Jasper Fforde, not that other one, heh).
Aside from reading, I like math, puzzles, Rubik's Cube, and Scrabble. I am an orange belt in karate (hopefully soon to be purple). I recently ran the Scholastic book fair at my kids' school. My husband and kids are my best friends, and that's basically my life.
I look forward to getting to know you all.
