How do y'all stick with 1 avatar?

I've switched mine several times here..just whenever I find a new image I like. This little kid looks a lot like I did when I was tiny..
 
I wonder if somebody should set up a separate thread for people to talk about what their avatar means and why they chose it....
 
I understand the idea of no switching to make members easier to recognize but there's something boring about that. I like to use avatars for my mood, holiday etc. Chances are though if it's a giant alien robot, it's me.

I have some fun holiday images stashed back..seems a shame not to put them to use.
 
I like changing things for the holidays and I save images all year too, just waiting :)
 
Actually I just switched to this, I use my grey tom on some sites. This image shows two things I'm passionate about...bullies and a good cup of joe.
 
I have different names and avatars on all the different forums I belong/belonged to. That's more than enough variety for me to keep track of, without making life more difficult by changing any of them. It was hard enough thinking of them in the first place.
