The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time - Mark Haddon
The Kite Flyer - Khaled Hosseini

Those three I read in the space of about a week, which is very unusual for me - they were all very readable. And they're all incredible books - top 10 definitely.

I've also read Ahead of the Class (after watching the TV drama) and I'm now reading I, Robot (after seeing the film).

I also tried to read Tears of the Giraffe....and failed!! I just couldn't get into it.

About ten new books and eight or nine rereads. Coyote by Alan Steele was probably the best newly published book I read (Sci Fi). All of Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series was new to me. Re-reads were mostly Heinlein. There are a few non-fiction books in there too.
 
I am a little embarassed to post my list as it pales compared to the qty posted by some of you. of the ones that I have read so far this year Ordermaster was the best read. Of course Terry Pratchett is always good. :)

I have read about 75 to 100 books so far this year. I do not keep an exact count. It is not unusual for me to finish one book per day on my days off.

I think the local library dreads it when I walk through the door. I cost them a lot of money for interlibrary loans.
