How often do you talk about books?

Does she know the vast amounts of knowledge throughout history that has been irretrievably lost due to that kind of mindset?

I don't get to talk about books with people face to face all that much. Start talking about books and I get funny looks from some of the people I know. I think the last time I had a decent conversation with someone about books in the flesh, was with one of my therapists...

LOL-I know what you mean. My most recent experience involved eating in the lounge and an english instructor telling us about Anna Quindlin's book Black and Blue. I then began having a conversation with her about Quindlin and her articles in Newsweek. It felt odd because no one was adding anything and appeared to have no clue who in the world she was-and I was sitting around teachers!. *sigh*

I talk about books pretty much every day with my wife (we're both big readers), and often with other people as well. Once I got into a nice Harry Potter-related conversation in the ladies' room at a rest stop, only afterwards realizing it was sparked by my Gryffindor Quidditch T-shirt.
