I wouldn't last in a relationship that I considered "a cage." This isn't Petco. My wife and I come and go as we want. Sometimes we go together, sometimes not. It hasn't caused a nanobit of an issue. But we do enjoy each other's company enough to go together most of the time. We're also best friends, which makes a relationship feel much less like a cage.

Chirp...

If the relationship is a "cage" it isn't much of a relationship, and therefore, whaddya doin' in it? Break the bars down baby.

Mr. Abc knows and likes all my friends, so depending on the situation, I sometimes ask if he wants to come along..with one friend, her family hosts us and another family on a Sunday evening now and then. Usually, my hubby opts to stay home...but he can't say he wasn't invited.

I'm far more social than he is, so I go out a lot. I tend to plan lunches or coffee dates for when he is at work. That way, I get to be social and have fun, and still have lots of time with him when he's home.

Yes, most of my friends are in the same boat..trying to synchronize various schedules keeps us from getting together more often. Seems like everyone is juggling too many hot plates these days:sad:

*And that's where you forum friends come in...
