I have been a huge fan of fantasy books all my life but I never know what would be good to read so I decided to join up. I'm a sophomore at a high school in Alaska and my mom knows all about mysteries and historical but the extent of her fantasy knowledge is Tolkein = good
I'm also completely obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer so anyone who feels an urge to discuss it, I've seen every episode at least 20 times except for the 5th season of Angel So, thats me

haha, god i wish, but no, my city only got the WB last June and I don't have cable anyway, so i have to wait until march for the dvd, grrrrrr.

Welcome, Caline! You should get plenty of great reading ideas from this forum (and have plenty of time to read in Alaska nights! What are they, 14 hours long?) Have you tried any of the Buffy novelizations? They're not just rehashes of the series, but completely new stories about the gang.

If you like Buffy and Angel, you might also get a kick out of an old TV series from the 70's, Kolchak - The Night Stalker. It was the break-out series that led to a lot of the current series like the X-Files and Buffy.
